How to make a paper airplane?

To make a simple paper airplane, follow these steps:

  1. Choose a piece of printer or construction paper, preferably 8.5 inches by 11 inches (22 cm by 28 cm).
  2. Fold the paper in half lengthwise, creating a long rectangle.
  3. Unfold the paper and fold the top two corners to the center.
  4. Fold the angled edges that you just created towards the center, leaving about 1 cm of space between the bottom of the angled edges and the crease.
  5. Fold along your original center-line, revealing a small inverted triangle.
  6. Fold the small inverted triangle up, to lock the angled edges in place.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 on the other side of the paper to create a wing on the other side. Make sure your wings are symmetrical to one another so your plane stays level when you throw it.
  8. Unfold the wings slightly so the plane is flat on top.

For a more advanced paper airplane, you can follow the instructions on the "Concorde Tutorial" video or the "Jet Paper Airplane" video. These tutorials show you how to fold an airplane that flies really fast and has a sleeker design.
