Rockies shortstop Trevor Story placed on 10-day IL with elbow inflammation

Story left Thursday's game against the New York Mets in the bottom of the fourth inning due to the injury. The 28-year-old is off to a relatively slow start this season, slashing .255/.322/.424 with five home runs and 23 RBI on 47 hits. He is in the final year of his contract and is slated to join a loaded free-agent shortstop class this winter.
