Mookie Betts injury: Dodgers star lands on 10-day IL with right hip issue

The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed right fielder Mookie Betts on the injured list, the club announced Sunday. Betts hasn't played since July 19 and hasn't started since July 17 due to his right hip irritation. The Dodgers had hoped he could return to the field as soon as Tuesday, but instead his body must not have responded to recent treatment -- including a cortisone shot -- the way he and the team desired.
