The actual amount of ocean plastic in the branded ocean plastic apparel is probably a small percentage of the total fabric, argues the author of this article. Beside even if the whole apparel is made of ocean plastic (and not ocean bound plastic) it would still constitute only a small percentage of plastic out there in the ocean! In the circumstances, are their claims that they are environmentally friendly products still defendable?
