Lady Hornets score big Senior Night win over Troy.

The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Basketball team ended a two-game losing skid by beating Troy 43-36 during their Senior Night on Friday, February 19. After trailing early the Lady Hornets came back to tie the game up at 13-all after the first quarter. Troy then went on a an 11-6 run to retake the lead at 24-19. Wellsboro and coachJohn Davis's halftime adjustments worked as they quickly tied the game up and held Troy to just 5 third quarter points. Troy held a slim 29-28 lead entering the fourth quarter, but that wouldn't last long as the Lady Hornets went on a 15-7 run and held Troy to just two field goals over the final 8 minutes to earn the win.
