Nomar Mazara on Tigers' bench Thursday afternoon

Detroit Tigers outfielder Nomar Mazara is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Justus Sheffield and the Seattle Mariners. Mazara will take a seat against Seattle's southpaw. Robbie Grossman will cover right field while Eric Haase returns to left and the cleanup spot. Miguel Cabrera will bat third and Willi Castro will hit ninth.
