French Open: Angelique Kerber 1st seed upset; Petra Kvitova avoids 1R exit

Angelique Kerber was the biggest name among the women to fall on the opening day of the 2021 French Open. Ukrainian qualifier Anhelina Kalinina stunned the 26th seed 6-2, 6-4 in an hour and 26 minutes. Kalinina hit 21 winners to Kerber's 18 and had 32 unforced errors to the German's 27.
