When the New England Patriots signed center Ted Karras early in free agency it felt like he was brought in as the replacement for David Andrews. But Andrews, who tested free agency for the first time in his career after starting 69 games at center for the Patriots over five seasons and serving as a four-time team captain, wasn't about to close the door on a return and he ensured his stay in New England continued when he signed a four-year, $19 million deal not long after the ink of Karras' contract had dried.
