Lawmakers want to award a Congressional Gold Medal to the Capitol Police officer who lured rioters away from the Senate chambers

A bipartisan trio of lawmakers introduced legislation this week to award Officer Eugene Goodman with the medal, reserved for Americans who've made "distinguished achievements and contributions" to their country.
