Knicks guard Alec Burks has been placed on the league’s health and safety protocols list, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post. Burks is coming off a 21-point outing against New Orleans on Wednesday. Burks has exceeded all expectations since the team signed him to a one-year, $6MM contract. Burks is averaging 12.6 PPG on 40.8% shooting beyond the arc in 25.8 MPG. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent once again but the Knicks have plenty of cap room and will try to retain him, Berman writes in a separate story.
