Houston Astros put star 3B Alex Bregman on IL with left quad strain

June 17 (UPI) -- The Houston Astros placed star third baseman Alex Bregman on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a strained left quadriceps. Bregman suffered the injury in the first inning of the Astros' 8-4 win over the Texas Rangers on Wednesday night. He was injured while running to first base when he grounded into a double play.
