Padres notes: Hosmer endured fixes to get hot; Darvish throws 'strong' bullpen, to start Monday

Eric Hosmer was hitting much like he most often has the first two months of the season. His .289 average and .349 on-base percentage on May 31 were both slightly better than his career mark when the Padres made him the first big acquisition of their rebuild in 2018. His .412 slugging percentage was slightly lower.
