Donovan Solano sitting for Giants' matinee Thursday

San Francisco Giants second baseman Donovan Solano is not in the lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Tyler Mahle and the Cincinnati Reds. Solano returned to the lineup Wednesday after missing nearly a month with a calf strain. He finished 0-for-4 with a strikeout but didn't appear to suffer any sort of setback. Mauricio Dubon will cover second base for the Giants in Thursday's matinee and bat fifth. Brandon Crawford will return to shortstop and bat third after being held out of Wednesday's lineup.
