Airbus A380: The wondrous giant that never quite took off

As the jet age roared towards its peak, aircraft manufacturer Airbus wanted to create its own superjumbo to challenge Boeing's 747 for supremacy. And so, in 2007, the gigantic A380 was born, and the world changed -- but not in the way
