Flagship Pioneering-backed Laronde, which launched barely three months ago, has raised $440 million in its first-ever fundraise with multiple investors. The Boston-based startup's Series B round raised funds from investors including Flagship, T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., Invus, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Fidelity Management & Research Company and by BlackRock. Flagship-backed startups do not typically disclose lead investors, and Laronde is no different, but Laronde CEO Diego Miralles said Flagship's investment was "significant."
