Former Kent State All-American Corey Conners made a valiant run at a medal in the final round of Olympic golf on Sunday, but came up just short. Conners, representing Team Canada along with former Golden Flashes teammate Mackenzie Hughes, carded eight birdies and shot 6-under-par 65 on Sunday at Kasumigaseki Country Club in Kawagoe, Japan. Conners finished the event at 13-under, just two strokes out of the playoff for the bronze medal. He wound up tied for 13th place.
