What happens when a broadcaster writes a book about the season he just called? About this time a year ago, Dodgers play-by-play man Tim Neverett resolved to chronicle the shortest season in major-league history. He and his wife, Jess, were walking in the woods in northern New Hampshire with their dog, a chocolate lab named Reggie, when the format came to him: a day-by-day diary from the start of summer camp until the final out of the 2020 World Series.
