Match to make background check technology platform available to users

Match Group Inc. MTCH, -1.27% said Monday that it has made a "significant contribution" in Garbo, a female-founded non-profit background check platform that uses public records and reports to provide information about violence or abuse, including arrests, convictions and restraining orders. Garbo already works with racial equity and gender justice groups. Match will make the service available to Tinder platform users later this year, after testing and building out capabilities. Other Match users in the U.S. will have access thereafter. Match stock is up 1.7% over the last three months while the S&P 500 index.
