Barça's New Jersey Is Here But We Only Care About the Shorts

FC Barcelona has launched its latest kit ahead of season 2021/2022 — and it includes the best football shorts we've seen in a long time. As always, the jersey is a relatively straightforward affair, arriving in the club's traditional Blaugrana colors. Riffing off the club crest, stripes have been modified at chest height in a nod to the St George Cross, representing the patron saint of Barcelona and the Senyera (the striped Catalan flag). Below is where it gets interesting, though, with shorts that come in a half garnet and half blue, as well as matching striped socks. It's a bold look — ideal for the pool as well as the pitch — and one we will hopefully see Lionel Messi steeze next season.
