LHP Austin Gomber (2-4, 4.96 ERA) vs. LHP David Peterson (1-3, 4.97 ERA) Sunday was the end of a tough weekend after a tough week for the Mets. Nothing about baseball, especially when it comes to injuries, is supposed to be fair, but right now things feel really unfair. New York's offense is stuck and overmatched while a crazy number of players are on the injured list. The good news, though, is that despite the Mets' pitching has kept them in every game, despite being overworked during a crazy stretch. At some point, the Mets' bats will have to break out. Could Monday be the night?
