FCC Implements New Caller ID Authentication Standard to Help Put an End to 'Annoying' Robocalls

Those annoying robocalls about the car warranty you never had may finally be coming to an end. Starting Tuesday, wireless phone providers in the U.S. must implement an industry-standard caller ID authentication technology called STIR/SHAKEN, which "helps protect consumers against malicious spoofed robocalls and helps law enforcement track bad actors," the FCC said in a news release.
