Online fashion giant Asos saw sales soar during the Covid lockdowns, as high street stores were forced to shut their doors.The retailer saw revenues and profits jump during the UK’s winter lockdowns and new peaks of the virus in other countries, which led shoppers around the world to use online outlets in greater numbers.Revenues at Asos jumped 24 per cent to £1.98bn in the six months up until the end of February, while pre-tax profits rose 253 per cent to £106.4m.The business said it benefited particularly from strong UK sales during the period, which covered the second lockdown in England in November,...
